I'm not even sure if "acupuncturing" is a real word, but for now, I've made it into a verb as a means of taking a poke at menopause.
One of the growing popular things to do these days with Menopause is to go natural. When the night sweats hit, the hot flashes flash, and the moods begin to swing… I've been reading about more and more women going to natural (instead of doing some HRT thing) to help combat the symptoms of menopause. More specifically, quite a few women are going to find some Chinese natural relief with acupuncture.
Here is a quick quote from the TampaBay Channel 10 news: "Cindy's night sweats got so bad, she turned to acupuncture for help. She started receiving this ancient Chinese therapy about two years ago and says it's relatively painless.
"Christine Hasinger is a licensed acupuncturist who says she really doesn't know how it works, only that it does. And it's becoming more and more popular with women going through menopause.
"Christine Hasinger said, "They either don't want to take hormone replacement therapy, or they want to try something more natural that will help them ease through the transition without the side effects of taking hormones."
"Cindy says her night sweats have almost disappeared, and she isn't taking any medication for her symptoms."
I still have a little reluctance about getting needles stuck in me, but it sure seems to beat going through HRT therapy.
