Health Eating Advice At Wellness Clubs

Debbie

New Wellness Clubs are being established in the UK. New locations include Brighton and Hove, Guidford, Southampton, Tring, Peterborough, Whistable and Glenrothes. The goal of the clubs is simple—to help each new member to make better diet and lifestyle choices that lead them towards achieving their personal wellness goals. Now, although weight loss may come into it, they believe their approach is more is more focused on general wellbeing than say your typical weight loss clubs.

Every attendee is offered a comprehensive wellness questionnaire, professional body composition analysis and advice on simple changes they can make to improve their lifestyle.

First of all height and age is recorded then you stand on the scales. Now, this isn’t just any old set of scales. This is a Body Composition Monitor. This helps to calculate body composition by sending a low safe electrical signal through the body. The signal passes freely through fluids contained in lean tissue, such as muscle and blood, but meets resistance passing through fat tissue. The monitors accurately measure this resistance and use it to calculate elements of body composition. You find out your body fat%, total body water %, visceral fat%, physique rating and finally your metaboloic agse which you can compare to your actual age!

You complete a questionnaire about your general diet and exercise to which you answer either Yes or No. You score points on your answers and these give you a Wellness Evaluation Score. The more honest you are in your answers will ensure that you are given the best possible advice and that advice will cover diet, exercise and simple rules that can have a dramatic impact on your overall health.

Community Wellness Clubs give their members the opportunity to receive regular guidance and inspiration from like minded people that have decided to make their health a priority. To meet the growing demand for support and information New Clubs are being launched all over the country. Click here to find wellness clubs in the UK

The Facts About Coconut Oil And Beneficial Fats

Debbie
Digg it Add to del.icio.us Stumble it No Comment

Coconut oil is about 50 percent lauric acid, a rare medium-chain fatty acid found in mother's milk that supports healthy metabolism and is now being studied for its anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial health-protecting properties. Some researchers predict that lauric acid will become as well known in health circles as Omega-3 is today. Overall, coconut oil contains 92% saturated fats, and only 1% Omega-6, the fat Americans get way too much of. Use it to boost your intake of the beneficial fats.

How To Use coconut oil

Coconut oil is ideal as a high-heat cooking oil, a “better than butter” replacement on bread and steamed veggies, or a tasty and nutritious substitute for shortening in baking.

We suggest you use extra-virgin coconut oil for cooking, and olive (a heat-sensitive oil with a low smoke point), hemp, and flax oils for cold dressings. This will help increase your levels of healthy Lauric Acid, Omega-3, and GLA fatty acids, while lowering your intake of Omega-6 and junk oils. While we need to consume a 3:1 ratio of Omega-6s to beneficial fats and Omega-3s, the average American diet provides a ratio of 15:1 and often 30:1 !

Advantages of Nutiva Product

The processing of coconut oil is the key to its color, aroma, texture and taste. Within several hours of chopping Nutiva's coconuts, the unrefined coconut oil is cold-pressed. Most coconut oil is made from dried copra which has been left to dry in the sun for days, then refined and bleached. Ironically, this product is often labeled as "certified organic.”

There is no comparison between Nutiva's cold-pressed, Organic coconut oil , with its light taste, pleasant aroma, and pure white color, and industrialized coconut oil, with its bland taste, faint aroma, and off-white color. Please note that any tiny brown specks found at the bottom of Nutiva's Coconut oil are from the coconut fiber and are indigenous to coconut oil .

Debbie
Digg it Add to del.icio.us Stumble it No Comment

A yeast infection happens when there are too many yeast cells growing in the vaginal area. In a healthy vaginal area there are very little yeast cells but when something happens like it did with Cindy to change her balance of the organisms then the yeast becomes out of control.

Yeast infections can be absolutely miserable but fortunately they are easy ways to cure yeast infection. Look at treating yeast infection to see how this affects both men and women alike.

Cindy became pregnant which threw her estrogen levels off which in turn caused a yeast infection. Cindy had the typical symptoms of burning and itching in the vaginal area. This is when she started to look for a remedy to cure yeast infection. Many people gave her yeast infection cure tips like using antifungal creams and suppositories but nothing was working. She was looking for a yeast infection cure but instead the symptoms were getting worse. Cindy was having burning and pain during intercourse and a white discharge started that looked like cottage cheese. She needed a yeast infection cure fast but felt like “yeast infection no more cure,” was more like it.

Now Cindy was feeling sick from her pregnancy and battling this terrible yeast infection. She had done other tricks like making sure the genital area was always dry and wearing panties that breathed instead of trapping more moisture in but still it seemed like curing yeast infection was impossible.

Cindy tried even more yeast infection cures from her local pharmacy such as witch hazel, more creams, powders but nothing was working. Then she found out that she might actually be causing more damage by the over the counter treatments and was going to have to have a cure of yeast infection treatment. Being pregnant she was not allowed to take any medication internally so Cindy started to look for a natural yeast infection cure. If doctors and pharmacies were not helping Cindy and her symptoms were to the point of being absolutely unbearable.

Cindy found after doing some research that curing yeast infection naturally could be done in 12 hours. She found a book by Sarah Summer that explained about treating yeast infection with a natural cure which was great for Cindy and her pregnancy but the book also explained how to cure yeast infection in 12 hours. Cindy read how to actually treat the fungus that causes the yeast infection. This fungus is called Candida Albicans. See what Cindy found out at treating yeast infection.

By the time Cindy finished this book, “12 Hour Natural Treatment for Yeast Infection,” she was able to be completely healed. This treatment cured her yeast infection fast and was able to give hers relief in a little over 12 hours compared to those eight days that she had been messing with the doctors and the over the counter topical creams. Cindy finally had the relief she deserved.

If you are suffering with yeast infection, you can do what Cindy did and find the help you need to naturally cure yourself from the frustrating attack of yeast infection. To do this, go on over to this website at treating yeast infection.

However, aloe vera is widely known as one of the most intriguing and effective natural remedies of all time. Aloe vera plant can grow outdoors in warm to moderate climate. Find out here at Aloe vera juice benefits what aloe vera juice can do for you.

Too much water can cause it to die. So you have to know how to care for your aloe vera plant. The aloe vera plant was initially grown in countries such as Africa and the Mediterranean. However, other countries are growing the plant because of the medicinal value that it has. Aloe vera is also a houseplant.

Aloe vera juice is made from the aloe vera plant and has some essential vitamins and minerals in it that promote overall health benefits to the body. A study was done and found that aloe vera juice helped to lower the risk of heart disease and I think that is really major since heart disease is one of the deadly killers among both men and women today. Change your life with Aloe vera juice benefits.

Aloe gel can be used as a topical treatment for infections; particularly yeast infections, open wounds, minor burns, and any normal skin irritations. Consumers in America are more familiar in the skin care use of aloe vera, but many do not know that aloe vera drink is also an important aspect of good health.

Aloe vera juice is good for constipation, stomach ulcers, headaches, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, any immune deficiency or even coughs due to the cold or flu. It actually quiets the cough and gets rid of it even more than the over the counter drugs can do.
Aloe vera is also used in shampoos and conditioners and helps hair growth and enhances healthy hair. Some people won’t use their shampoo or conditioner without it.

However, I think the Aloe vera juice, “takes the cake,” and because of its internal intake, it provides more nutrients to the body. With that being the case, the body strives more toward better health and improving health even through aging. It is a natural product so there are no side effects to worry about.

The body has less infection because the aloe vera juice builds up the immune system to be much stronger than it was before. You can make aloe vera your life’s partner because by so doing you will ward off any disease or health issues that would have otherwise plagued you.

Sooner or later, all women reach the age when they cease menstruation, and there comes menopause! This can happen as early as 35, but rarely, and may occur as late as 50. Symptoms of menopause include the onset of hot flashes, when your body inexplicably becomes suddenly hot, usually lasting just a few minutes. Hot flashes become bothersome when they're recurring, over and over again, at any time, no matter where you are. Many women gain weight even though their diet remains constant. Fatigue, insomnia, depression and a low sex drive are other features of this difficult period of life.

You should pay a visit to your doctor to be sure it is menopause causing your symptoms. Before you opt for hormone replacement therapy, check out some of these menopause natural remedies and see if you can't get back on an even keel.

Good nutrition is one of your best weapons against symptoms of menopause. If your diet has been less than adequate, set out immediately to change, making sure your foods are healthy and provide all the nutrients you need. Of all menopause natural remedies, diet is paramount. Caffeine and alcohol can increase hot flashes, so if possible, cut back or eliminate these two. It's likely you'll experience a reduction in hot flashes.

Foods that you should include, specific to menopause natural remedies, are fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and cold water fish such as halibut, salmon, sardines and tuna. Try to avoid refined and processed foods, fried food and sugar. Drink plenty of water!

Soybeans are a rich source of isoflavones, which is shown to have estrogen like effects, so eat your soy! Tofu and soy milk should be on your grocery list. Soy powder is available in capsules as well.

Among the herbs used as menopause natural remedies, there are several which should be of significant help. Black Cohosh root is a powerhouse, relieving insomnia, night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings and vaginal dryness.

Chasteberry, (also known as Agnus castus) is effective for hot flashes and hormonal imbalances which cause mood swings and irritability.

Another rich source of isoflavones is found in red clover. Red clover makes a tasty tea.

Wild yam helps to adjust the balance of progesterone and estrogen.

Gingko biloba helps with problems of memory and concentration.

Motherwort has been used for centuries, quenching many troublesome symptoms, including insomnia, anxiety, hot flashes, depression and retention of water.

Physical exercise is also important in your arsenal of menopause natural remedies. Aerobics, a Pilates program or yoga are good choices because they build strength, help maintain flexibility and are not stressful on joints.

Before rushing out for all of these menopause natural remedies, check with your doctor. You may want to consult a naturopathic doctor or herbalist to see what might work best for you. Herbs work more slowly than pharmaceuticals, so it may be a few weeks before you see a significant difference. Relief is on the way!
